Best Websites For Accepting Online Donations

Collecting donations online, without the hassle.

The expansion of the internet has opened up many venues for collecting donations online for nonprofits. But with all of the options available, nonprofits always meet the same problem: What is the right choice for our organization? Choosing which websites to trust with the crucial task of gathering donations can seem like a stressful undertaking. We want to ease your worries by listing what we believe to be the best websites out there for collecting donations for your nonprofit, complete with fees, pricing, and the kinds of packages each website offers.

Network for Good Donate Now

Fees: 3% transaction fee for donations and events (includes merchant fees, processing fees, and variable fees)

Pricing: Donation Page $79, Social Fundraising $99, Donor Management $99

What they offer:

Donation Page: This plan includes a personalized, branded, and responsive donation page, reviews, and registration forms for events and ticketing. It also provides a platform for recurring donations, giving levels, automated Thank You responses, and even allows for video embedding.

Social Fundraising: This uses current donors and their networks (social media connections) to gain support. Nonprofits create branded fundraising pages for a specific campaign using provided templates with an easy to follow step-by-step process. This plan is also mobile-friendly, allowing your nonprofit to track your campaign's progress on the go. It even includes video embedding capability and the recurring donation option like the plan above.

Donor Management: Driven by Kindful, this plan manages donor profiles, organizes follow-ups, and gives reports on donor participation. Through contact records, your nonprofit is able to see what social media networks your donors are using and their current involvement with your nonprofit, with built-in options to customize how you connect with that specific donor to boost communication.

Network for Good

Razoo

After donating, Razoo takes donors to a VeriSign Secure page where their donation is processed. Razoo also encourages nonprofits to claim their nonprofit page in order to start fundraising and create fundraising pages using their platforms.

GivingFuel

Fees: varies package to package (see below)

Pricing: Starter Package - Free, GivingFuel Pro $59/mo., GivingFuel Enterprise $99/mo.

What they offer:

Starter Package: This free package is the most basic of the three that GivingFuel offers. It’s a great way to test out GivingFuel to see if it is the right fit for your nonprofit. This package includes customization of donation pages, recurring donation capability, analytics reports done in real time, and what they call Conditional Logic. Through Conditional Logic, your nonprofit is able to take your donation page further by adapting to donor action and presenting different descriptions, options to give, and incentives in real time. For example, through GivingFuel’s conditional logic, if a donor decides to dedicate their contribution to a loved one, your nonprofit can show additional options such as sending an email to the loved one or allowing the donor to create a custom message. This package is wrapped up nicely with a transaction fee of 0% for the first $5000, followed by a 5% fee.

GivingFuel Pro; At $59/mo., this package is GivingFuel’s most popular with the inclusion of what was discussed in the Starter Package above with the inclusion of a communication center at $0.02 a message, a custom domain, and a text to give program at $0.20 a text. Transaction fee for this package stands at 0%.

GivingFuel Enterprise: This $99/mo. package includes all the bells and whistles of the two above with the addition of donor self-service accounts, a mobile giving app, and advanced integration with its transaction fee holding at 0%.
